Inspired by 9/11, a soul searing romance I?ve been thinking about for years, and the sickening truth that almost ALL of war?s victims are ordinary people, Dr. Cole Moreau's journey to redemption became so much more than an amuse bouche for me to nibble on weekends. I became fascinated by the volunteers and medical folks and peace warriors involved in humanitarian aid. I began to wonder about drugs and medicines and rogue profits. About mothers and women, the beauty we hide and promote. The steps we take, how we treat ourselves before a romance ever begins. A recurring theme kept cropping up.
